Online gambling can take many forms. There are all kinds of online casinos, live casinos, sportsbook sites, poker rooms, telly shops and racecourses where you can bet on horse racing, football, basketball, baseball and even golf.
There are all types of ways that people use to gamble over the web including poker software, web-based games, instant messaging software and automated teller machines. There are also offshore gambling sites that offer gaming opportunities for those who can't get a regular visa for a home country.
There are legal forms of gambling activity in Malaysia, though they vary from one country to another. For example, in Singapore, gambling is not against the law but there are some countries which prohibit horse racing and some other activities deemed as horse gaming. Gambling is legal in Malaysia as long as the activity is not carried out in front of others. Private houses and even hotels have their own gambling rooms.
According to the Betting Act of Malaysia, anyone who engages in illegal gambling can be subjected to a fine not exceeding five,000 ringgits or imprisonment for not longer than six months or both. The Act also stipulates the different legal forms of gambling approved by the Malaysian government.
These include the System of Lottery and Gaming, the Special Lottery Fund, the National Lottery, the Betting Corporation, the Lottery Board of Malaysia, and the Jockeys and Racing Commission.
While the Act does not specifically mention any form of online gambling, it appears that the use of the word "gambling" is an attempt at defining the Act rather than discussing it.
For instance, the Act uses the term "any game of card," which is construed to imply that the only games recognized by the Government are those that fall within the category provided by the Betting Act.
By 2021 we may well have the ability to simulate any type of gambling experience that we might find in the actual casinos. One such game plan includes sports betting. The second category involves the future of virtual reality gambling.
That means that we may soon be able to visit the world of casinos and gamble without actually leaving our living rooms. This will work much like an augmented reality program that will let us play online casinos and engage in virtual reality gambling from the safety and comfort of our homes.
For those who are unfamiliar with the term " Cryptocurrency" here is the explanation from the Wikipedia site on the subject:" Cryptocurrency is a system of units that are decentralized in nature, allowing for safe and flexible transfer of value.
Unlike conventional currencies, which are issued by governments and usually backed by central banks, Cryptocurrency can be traded and stored virtually anywhere in the world. In fact, the Internet and the world wide web have made the transfer of Cryptocurrencies much simpler and more efficient than it was in the past."
Now, we are simply describing the way that virtual currencies are exchanged on the World Wide Web using internet protocols such as the Bitbox protocol. This is the same technology that is being used to allow video games to be played for free on the World Wide Web. Many large corporations now use Bitboxes to conduct their business as well as allow employees to play video games while they work from home.
